Muhammad Ali- The greatest speed and footwork boxing has ever see. He is most likely the most intelligent man to have fought in the ring as well.
Rocky Marciano- A clean record of 50-0. He was small for a heavy weight being only 5'11, weighing 185, and having a reach of 69 in.
Joe Louis- Had an amazing record of 69-3. He fought in WWII, he was tough, he had power, good speed and good movement skills.
Joe Frazier- Was the only man to five Ali real trouble. They fought 3 times and Frazier was always in the fight. Joe Frazier was the first person to knock Ali down and he was the first person to give Ali his first loss. In their first match Frazier won by UD. In their second fight Ali won by UD. And in their last fight Ali won a brutal fight because Frazier's corner stopped the fight. Joe Frazier feared no man and fought all the greats of his era ending his career 32-4.
George Foreman- Began his career a ruthless, brutal, fearless giant. Beating some of the most toughest and most powerful men to have stepped in the ring such as Joe Frazier, Ken Norton, and Ron Lyle. George Foreman fought Frazier twice both fight being extremely one sided. Foreman smacked Frazier around the ring like a rag-doll. He KO'd Norton and Lyle. He also gave Ali a Hell of a fight but in the end received his first loss by KO in the 8th round that fight would be remembered as one of the greatest fights in the history of boxing "Rumble in the Jungle". Foreman would then fight a couple more times then take a 10 year break and comeback a new man a god loving and humorous man. He would then fight men much younger then him. Beating Gerry Cooney by KO. Go all the way with a young prime Holyfield and Morrison but loose by decision to both. He would later retain the belt he lost to Ali almost 20 years after "Rumble in the Jungle" after his KO victory against Michael Moorer. Foreman would retire with a record 68-5 only one loss by KO.
Jack Dempsey- Fought 21 fights in 1 year (1918) no one else on my list has ever done this. I'm almost positive thats a world record. He was tough, had no fear, and had heavy hands. Ruthless, in fact Mike Tyson was a big fan of his he studied Dempsey's boxing work.
Another Jack, Jack Johnson- Was the first african american to impact the sport. He was the first heavy weight black campion and possibly the first black champion in boxing history. His fighting style was original and different which is why he became champion. He was very cocky and humorous. Being the only african american heavy weight at that time that era was also very racist the early 1900's so being cocky was very dangerous. Jack Johnson had no fear, was unique, and intelligent in the ring.
Joe Walcott- He was quick with his hands and feet, had good movement and great defense. He fought the greatest of how era such as Joe Louis and Rocky Marciano. Losing to both of them twice giving them both a hell of a fight in their fist matches.
The very underrated Larry Holmes- He had a quick powerful jab that can be considered the second best jab the heavyweight division has ever seen first place being Ali. Larry Holmes in his prime had one of the strongest chins in boxing history he took a devastating hook from Earnie Shavers. But got back off the canvas and won the fight by TKO in the 11th round. He also had notable wins over Berbick, Leon Spinks, Ray Mercer, and in his mid 50's he beat a prime Butterbean.

I think Marciano is interesting, in that he 'got lucky' in never facing anyone really great in their prime - of course, this isn't his fault, as you can only fight the guy put in front of you, so that makes him interesting. And I'd agree with honourable mention to Archie Moore, what a fighter he was.
