I think along the same way as you few writers of these comments, Floyd Mayweather is afraid to fight anyone that even slightly threatens his chance to retire with an undefeated record. So why does he not sign to fight the local cab driver or the town drunk, or someone from a local retirement community. Real World Champions fight top contenders, they do not get hung up on fight purses. These are the kind of fights that separate ordinary fighters from the all time greats. When he fights a tomato can, that is what he will be remembered by. He needs to be a man and not a loud bully, preying on the defenseless and the weak. The fight with Canelo, should he win impressively will silence his critics instead of fighting retreads like Cotto, or never was fighters like Guerrero. There is always Alvarez or Martinez at 160 lbs. And not someone else's wife.

first of all your supposed to focus on one fight at a time,signing for a future fight while in the process of another would tempt you to overlook your opponent when you should be 100% focused.second of all canelo is over-hyped he hasn't fought any elites in his division or people from the 147 division to be calling shots, austin trout is his first real fight.
Throughout Mayweather's entire career and at every weight class he have fought at someone has always said he is scared to fight somebody in that weight class.
I think the same way you do, Ricky. Truth is that's been in my head for over 3 years now. Not that Floyd's scared of Canelo per se. He's just scared losing his undefeated title that he avoids people who re capable of taking it.
I don't think Mayweather fears Canelo but I also don't think he should fight him. Mayweather is clearly a shade below his best and Canelo is a much bigger man, naturally. Mayweather is great but no one beats Father Time.

Since Canelo told Mayweather "the only way i will fight as your undercard for may 4th will be if you will sign a contract so we can fight sept 14" and guess what mayweather didnt sign it. thats why Canelo is no longer the undercard for this fight. What you guys think?
