TR and Pacquiao's people chose Rios for a reason. I get Pac got KTFO badly by Marquez, but he looked great up until the point of diving head first into a right hand like a moron.
Rios has no defense at all, dude gets hit w/ everything you throw at him. I don't think Pacquiao's speed or precision will take a hit from getting knocked out by JMM.
Plus, Rios is moving up to 147lb, and his power didn't even seem that good against Alvarado in their last fight.
I call Rios "Margarito Lite", b/c he's really exciting, smaller, has no defense, and his chin is basically sh*t compared to Margarito's ATG chin.
I get the skepticism and the question of how will Manny fair after getting knocked out so badly...but it's like I said, Rios should be EASY work for him.
Rios can't counter, he doesn't hit that hard, and will just walk forward and take punches until he falls or the fight is stopped.
Should be an exciting fight until that point though, for sure.
This will be a great fight and possibly a FOTY type fight for sure. Even though Manny has shown some slippage recently, he's still a fast fighter that throws fast hard shots. People seem to forget that Manny was on the verge of stopping Marquez before he got caught with the right hand that ended the fight. My question is how will Manny react once Rios hits him? A KO like the one he suffered against Marquez can have a devastating effect on a fighter mentally. It could make him cautious and gun-shy. If Manny is right mentally for this fight, he should do well. Rios is a tough cookie, I know he's not that fast and he's flat-footed, but he can bang, has a good chin, and is a warrior. Despite what some people seem to think, this is no gimmie for Pacquiao, believe me, he's gonna have to bring his A game to win this fight, and I think he will. I pick Manny to win a hard fought UD or possibly stop Rios very late in the fight, but it won't be easy. Manny will take some lumps in this fight.
If Manny wins, he'll probably get the winner of Bradley-Marquez. If Rios wins, it puts him right back in the mix for more big fights, and he probably gets the rubber match with Mike Alvarado.
EWWD 2,
He's been losing a little bit of everything his past few fights. First its the legs then overall speed and head movement all of which he's been displaying. The very last thing a fighter loses is punch and that boy can still crack.
Rios is so damn easy to hit and although his punch has some "Pop" to it I'm of the opinion that Manny still hits way harder. If Rios moved a little more and had better head movement I think the fight would be a lot different.
This will be a tough fight for Manny for about three rounds then Manny takes over. Rios has youth on his side and this will be his downfall, too much heart is another factor. Rios will stay in exchanges a bit too long just to prove he can take it, but every egg gets cracked. Fight doesn't go past eight rounds.
Good Question Every White Woman's Dream 2
He was winning against JMM until that punch. He still looks good. Rios will get stopped by 9
Of course he still has his speed and precision ,the question is will Manny Pacquiao become gun shy and lack confidence to allpy it after the brutal KO loss to Marquez.
Brandon Rios is tailor made for Manny Pacquiaos' style but Brandon Rios should know what he needs to work on which is his defense ,but at the same time Manny Pacquiao needs to look out for Brandon Rios and his relentless onslaught because Manny Pacquiao has holes in his defense also.
Now you're talking with sense EWWD. I never thought you have grown up like a fking kind gentleman. We will see if Pac still has in few months time. If not then he better hang the gloves up for good.
MANNY is to big for that kid, I hope brandon wins by UD
Yes, if he maintains his self confidence.
This should be a great fight while it lasts....i don't see it lasting though
I think someone is gonna get knocked out pretty bad in this one, but i'm not sure who yet. i think a loss like that can end EITHER guys career, but Manny definitley is closer to the end than Brandon
Brandon takes a lot of punches, and if Manny has anything left, i think his speed and percision punching will pose big problems for Rios....
But how much does Manny have left? he's been fighting like 17 years now, and taken a good amount of punishment over the last year and a half or so, and of course its hard to imagine he would ever be the same after a KO loss like that
i give Manny props for taking this fight, and not some powder puff like Paulie Malinagi or someone like that
who do you got and how do you see the fight going??
if Manny still got it, and he brings it on Brandon, can you see Brandon Rios absorbing all Manny's best shot and coming back strong like he does to everyone else??
if Manny can stop Brandon, where do you see both fighters going from there??
