I'm not sure because I live in the UK but didn't Danny Garcia make his own hype himself? Not like Broner, Ortiz, Bertoe etc. who networks tried to force them down fans' throats. My understanding was that he was never really hyped up but instead was just a prospect and then beat Khan then Matthysse and then got the hype. I'm probably wrong but that's what I thought.
The thing is with Danny though is that he wins, he doesn't bedazzle you with his hand speed or amaze you with his footwork, what he does do is win. Which actually might be better because a win is a win no matter how you do it. I will also note that I believe Danny's wins over Khan and Matthysse are better than any of Broners, Ortizs or berto's wins.
NO, he is being brought up the Right way no rush he proved he can take a punch he proved he can dill with speed now all he has to do now is ease in to WW do not rush the kid he is going to be a great fighter soon an IMO he will not fight Floyd his dad wants no part of the fight and that is a smart move and he has the talent to take over the weight class in the future.
No, Danny Garcia is for real. Even Broner was scared to fight for all the belts which Garcia held one.
I think the top Welterweights will beat him but he is the best Jr. Welterweight. Only time will tell but Mayweather, Pac man, Porter, and Thurman is NO joke.
Danny Garcia is overrated and those who say otherwise are wossies who bow to anyone who seems ''gangsta'' or ''rebellious''.
My proof?
Danny Garcia struggled a split decision against Kendall Holt [who IMO won the fight] even though Holt had 4 previous losses at 140lbs, one to Bradley and 1 to Ricardo Torres [who can REALLY bang, unlike Matthysse who couldn't ko an OLD Zab Judah!].
Garcia also got 2 close decisions against an OLD Zab Judah & a hypejob Lucas Matthyse.
Listen to fighters and their corner BEFORE fights, not after them.
Danny's father said that Lucas was a hypejob that couldn't punch but is only credited for being a puncher because he ''kayod a bunch of nobodies and kayod Peterson when Peterson had only trained for 2 weeks''.
Mayweather says how his team builds fighters up for him to ''crush'' before most of his bouts.
Listen to them BEFORE fights.
Timothy Bradley did better against EVERYONE at 140lbs than Danny Garcia.
Ruslan Provodkinov would kill Bradley in a rematch [psychological advantage] and he IMO would finish Danny.
Victor Ortiz, Andre Berto, and Adrein Broner got exposed early on and didn't live up to the hype. Will the same happen to Danny Garcia? Why or Why not?
