Some people love to label Black fighters as slick boxers because that is the primary style for Black fighters. White and Latino fighters tend to be more aggressive. Of course there are the exceptions.
However, while Bradley can box, there are slicker boxers. He was clearly out-fought, in Every way, by Manny Pacquiao. That remains one of the Absolute Worst decisions I've ever seen in my life and I've seen a LOT of boxing matches. Bradley was also manhandled by Provodnikov and very lucky to get the decision.

You could still label Bradley as a slick boxer but that usually refers to a fighter's defensive abilities. I've always labeled him a poor man's Mayweather with Bradley's work ethic being the only thing the two have in common.
Because he has a little bit of slickness to him and he's black so people put the label on him. I think Lampley had it right when he said that Bradley is a guy that has the athleticism to do a bit of everything. I don't think he's hugely slick he just wins all the time.
@Nightmare: He should have 2 loses to Pacquiao and Provodnikov but the guy whooped Jaun Manuel Marquez, beat him convincingly, which is something only Mayweather and Chris John can say as well.
I think he is considered awkward more than slick. When he delivers a punch he is just about on the move again, so he does not provide KO power - his feet aren't planted. So, Bradley has a kind of awkward stick and move. He usually gets out of the reach of his opponent. That is, until they time him coming in or he decides to stand and trade. I agree Bradley did not look very slick against Manny and Ruslan.
Bradley is overrated.
^ He didn't defeat Marquez "Convincingly" pay attention to the fight stupid & not the commentators. It was a Split decision win against an aging fighter. Big deal. & Bringing up Chris John is a joke.
Marquez was landing a lot on Bradley as well & with accuracy. If they fight again Marquez would win he always performs better in rematches. Screw Bradley.
He won a lot of close decisions, He lost to Pacquiao, but still holds an undefeated record.
His stick-and-move style of fighting that he temporarily abandoned vs Pac and Prov, but brought back against Marquez.
