Pacquiao understands that his entire career is due to the masterful in-house matchmaking skills of Bob Arum. Pacquiao never beat a fighter in his entire career that was on at least a 5 or 6 fight winning streak. Pacquiao went up to light middleweight & beat a suspended cheater for a vacant title to get his 8th division belt. Only the Bob Father has the kind of power to make that happen. Bob Arum is the best thing to ever happen to Pacquiao. Without Arum Pacquiao would've never been half as popular as he had become. If Pacquiao leaves Arum he'll get exposed.

With his bad experience with his first American promoter, Murad Muhammad, Manny has since been leery of such big time foreign international promoters. This was in the aftermath of his controversial drawn title fight with Juan Manuel Marquez where Murad's cornering his PPV share was uncovered prompting Manny to hastily break away from him.

Boxer turned promoter Oscar de la Hoya though was able to persuade him at first to sign up with GBP and gave him half a million dollars as signing bonus. But enter Bob Arum who with his fatherly image and more generous signing bonus was able to persuade Manny to also sign up with Top Rank.

That resulted in a contractual problem where Manny became the main bone of contention between the two giant promotional camps. An out of court mediation settled the matter where Manny would be with Top Rank but would compensate ODLH with a share of his boxing earnings up to a certain period.

Because of these circumstances and Manny suspicious of ODLH's motives in wanting him notwithstanding the fact that many of his past victims were Mexicans, Manny was steadily and closely drawn more to Arum and Top Rank until his obligations with Oscar had been fully fulfilled. From then on, Manny becomes an exclusive contract fighter of Arum and Top Rank's richest cash cow.

But personally, I think Manny has done more than enough to reciprocate and repay Arum for his support especially in his run for five more world titles in his fabulous record collection of eight.

I think Manny can now chart where the remaining years of his pro career is headed to and finally extricate himself from useless and vain boxing politics and intrigues in view of the TR-GBP feud which is only narrowing his options.

I think Manny is capable of managing and promoting himself and his fights after 2014.

T's loyalty initially engendered by and large by insecurity and lack of self-confidence and self-determination on the part of Manny really.

But I believe Manny is already well past that.

Its not about loyalty. Its gratefulness. Pac should not forget that if not for Arum's promotional strategy, Pac wouldn't be known globally. And besides Pacquaio ain't that greedy. He would share his blessings to people that contributes.
