Against Angulo I don't know how "hurt" he really was. He absorbed a tremendous amount of body shots and was fighting going backwards since Angulo was the stronger (but not more skilled) fighter. After the two flash knockdowns (against the ropes BTW) he gamely took a deep breath and kept on chugging. I love Lara's skill-set.

He's got tremendous reach, a great boxer's physique, he maximizes all of his talent and athleticism (which is lacking compared to bigger, faster, stronger, taller boxers) and still has great results. Molina, BTW, is no scrub. He's a very good fighter and matched up well with Lara. By no means was this a controversial fight in the way of Pacman vs. Bradley.

Came off the canvas twice to make him quit. He's slick and a south paw with a lightning left. I think he's the best 154 pounder except for Floyd. And Lara could definitely edge Floyd in a tight fight if they ever fought.

Same for Gamboa another overrated Cuban fighter. floored by a Michael Farenas. Gamboa was dropped by a guy who is a Fisherman as a day job.
