Its a very good fight, two of the best fighter right now, fighting....Its a superfight, although pac kind of declined but he is still top dog in welterweight...

Truthfully, because they believe Manny Pac is the closest candidate to making Mayweather to lose. AND SO MANY PEOPLE want to see him lose. More than people love a success story, they ABSOLUTELY LOVE a fall from success story.
Im pretty much over the idea though. Too much has gone on and Manny is starting to decline. I dont think he would have been able to do much with Floyd anyway, but now he can do less.
You are correct Mayweather is too pure of a boxer & a defensive fighter to even have him & Manny be any form of a fight. What most people didn't realize is before Marquez KO'd Manny he had been KO'd at the weight of 112 lbs. Manny's chin is average or even below average & Floyd would have hit him early & often. This fight wouldn't have been any better then Guerro or Ortiz who are both southpaws that can't stop the right hand & Mayweathers best punch is the lead right hand he even lands that on right hand fighters. If they do fight before Floyd retires it wont live up to the hype. Floyd will destory him, also in the all access shows that showtime has now Oscar De La Hoya said that this fight didn't happen because of Manny & not Floyd & he's the promoter so he has no reason to lie.
I agree w/ you, Floyd would've always won. Despite that though, it's still a major PPV blockbuster and would be a ridiculously big fight, by far the bigges since Mayweather-DLH.
I still want it to happen, b/c if it never does then I think it's bad for the sport.

It's because people want to see Gayweather lose. Pacquiao has all the assets to destroy the defensive gay tactics of Gayweather. Even if Pacquaio got KOd by Marquez still he deserves a fight with Gayweather.
