They aren't excuses, you're just hating on him. Accusing of ducking Pacquiao just because the fight didn't happen and that's suppose to be all his fault? Were you behind the scenes? No. All I know is that the fight would have happened in 2010 had Pacquiao just agreed to the drug testing. Then Arum gets the nerve to start giving Mayweather deadlines right after his fight with Mosley. Mayweather does not work for Arum, he left Arum for a reason. Mayweather said clearly he wanted to fight Pacquiao right before his fight with Marquez. As soon as the fight is over, Pacquiao's camp wouldn't even talk to Floyd. Excuses about wanting to build a new stadium just for their fight.
There are no excuses for him not fighting Alvarez. Everyone knows Mayweather is far better than Alvarez. The thing is, it's ridiculous how people think Mayweather needs to duck a guy who has only had one true opponent. Alvarez beats Trout, and all of a sudden the talks start about Mayweather ducking him when just before the fight all you were saying he is a hype job who is overrated. Then if Mayweather beats him you say that he is a hypejob and overrated but if he doesn't fight him you say Mayweather is ducking him. Makes no sense at all but that's hater logic.
Do we all want to see that fight? Sure, but Mayweather doesn't need to fight Alvarez or anyone else to prove his skill. He is the best, period. Saying that he needs to fight this guy or that guy is just your way of saying that you want him to lose. He fought Guerrero clearly as a tune up and he was ranked as a Top Welterweight. He didn't fight someone off the charts. Ortiz was the first to beat Andre Berto who was a top Welterweight. Best opponent available who happened to be younger, bigger, and stronger.
Get your facts straight and stop hating. It makes you look bad.
You're acting like his career is over and he'll never fight again. A fight with Manny Pacquaio and Saul Alvarez isn't out of the question considering he has five more fights left.
I wouldn't say he's "ducked" anybody because his career isn't over. For a long time the the knock on Floyd was that he "ducked" Miguel Cotto, then he moves to 154lbs and beats Cotto and now insert Saul Alvarez instead.
I don't think he's "ducking" fighters but at the same time fans have this unrealistic laundry list of guys he's supposed to fight when the guy is 35 years old and only fights twice a year. As soon as he beats one guy it's "Oh Fight this Guy Now'.
Floyd Mayweather would wipe the floor with Saul Alvarez, we know that, but as soon as he beats him you'll be the same guy complaining that he should move up and fight Sergio Martinez or Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. So many fans just on a guys bandwagon and then when Floyd beats him they jump right on to the next dude, if Alvarez is your guy then fine, but when beats him, which he will, don't complain about him not facing someone else.
Floyd ducks all Prime great fighters...
and waited 3-5 years before Floyd fought one of them , like Mosley , Cotto... surely Floyd wins..
Great boxer but every time he does something bad they always make excuses for him like how he ducked pacquiao or when they talk about him fighting canelo the excuse that he is to big and can't fight at 154 but he just fought at154 last year against cotto I mean if your the best boxer in the world don't you want to test your skills and push your self to the limit but instead fight guys like Guerrero, Ortiz who every knows doesn't stand a chance and after he beats them they act like he beat an ATG
