Do not muscle in your punch, don't clench and hold fist tensed up before punch. Just relax and step into it, throw the punch and clench it at last second to get that snap or pop. Also out yours hips into it. Well if you cant rely on power, then use your speed.
Maybe you've bulked up too much using heavy weights. Spring, flexibility is far better along with proper technique in power punching.
Because punchers are born, meaning, punching power is genetic, so don't be surprised if you'll find skinny 100-lb. kids who could "kill" you with their punch and 250-lb. bodybuilders who can't hurt you at all.
It's either your gloves are too heavy or or you are missing your target. You need to find the correct distance/angle for your perfect punch to able to knock him out and make him feel the pain. In the ring, your opponent is always moving, so not everything will go according to plan unless he's a moving punching bag.
With everything you have said, i would like to think your technique isn't right, but im by no means an expert!!
Your power comes from your legs not your upper body. How much you bench press is irrelevant.
Youre a wrestler?
Maybe your battery is running out. Charge up.
Try it hard
I'm in good shape, I can bench 250 lbs. comfortable (I weigh 180) and can do almost 20 pullups.
I am also real FAST, I can throw really fast punches.
But when it comes to power, even if I deliver everything I have, its not hard as other people.
Also, in the ring, my punches just don't have the thud of others.
I use my legs and lower body and put everything in it. But no pop? What is going on?
