Why are boxers record better than MMA ?

For example a boxers record is like 34-3 , while MMA is like 24-10.

1-A lot of ways to lose in MMA

2-Tiny Gloves, more likely to KO somenoe who is more skilled or more fluke wins (Serra vs GSP)

3-less padding of records and protection from other fighters and less cherry picking.

4-Competitive matchmaking in MMA and closer odds on fights on more consistent basis

so unless u can deal with all styles like Jose Aldo, its more likely that a fighter will lose against diffrent type of styles

man good answers. Its just going to sound like I am repeating but I will do it anyways.

MMA has more aspects than just striking. So even a great striker could lose to a average strike but damn good grappler.

Also, the best fighters fight each other. There are no tomatoe cans per say. Each fighter can be a legitimate threat.

So to be an mma fighter, you really have to be very well rounded.

MMA is more brutal, it's cage fighting.

MMA has so many things involved that it makes it hard for 1 fighter to dominate every technique thus they tend to get caught earlier.

MMA fighters body also ages much faster due to the harsh injuries from small gloves, wrestling, etc.

On the upside; MMA is safer for the brain. MMA has lower brain damage per fighter than boxing because MMA fighters head isn't throbbing back and forth from punches for 12 round for 50 fights.

There are many more elite boxers that have mastered their specific sport as opposed to MMA which is more like the jack of all trades and master of none.

Bums in boxing have better records than most top mma

because mma fighters sucks
