Who would win in this heavyweight championship bout?

Winner: Vitali Klitschko

Method of Winning: Decision (probably unanimous)

Round (of 12): 12

Explain why, or how you came to this conclusion: Based on the 10 categories that boxers are rated on (Power, Physical Attributes, Hand Speed, Footwork, Defense, Durability, Killer Instinct, Heart, Endurance, & Ring Generalship), by my calculations, Vitali scores higher, and is thus a better boxer. But that, itself, is not why I think he wins b/c there is also a category that cannot be measured. In the fighting world, we call it an "X-Factor".

But basically, Wladimir is a much more fundamentally sound boxer, with great endurance, which is the reason I believe he goes the distance. But, his athletisism nor does his durability match Vitali's.

Vitali has never been knocked down.

(For those who are going to check this to see if I'm right, the 2 losses he received via TKO were not due to him being knocked down. His TKO loss to Byrd was due to a shoulder injury keeping him from continuing. & his only other loss was due to a cut above his eye during a bout with Lennox Lewis that resulted in a referee stoppage, giving him another loss via TKO. So even though he has 2 losses by TKO, his a** has never hit the mat in a professional bout.)

So, while it goes the distance (12 rounds), I see Wladimir being knocked down 2 or 3 times along the way, but Vitali never going down.

So, even if they both win 6 rounds a piece, giving them both a score of 114 [(6*10)+(6*9) = 114], Wladimir will have 3 points removed from his scorecard for the rounds that he gets knocked down in. So I'm guessing my scorecard for the bout would read 114-111, Vitali.

Wladimir will stay competitve throughout the bout due to his technical, fundamentally sound skills in boxing. But Vitali's footwork and ring generalship, along with his durability, gives him the edge in this bout.

Definately Vitali. Wlad is a very good heavyweight champion and has proven so when in command and he usually is against today's heavyweights, but he cannot fight going backwards or under any pressure at all. (Proven). Vitali has the ability to box and rumble when necessary and would pressure Wlad back into the ropes and score a TKO stoppage as soon as he decided to so. IMO.

Vitali wins by KO in the middle rounds. Vitaly is not only stronger, but also has a better chin all proven by their past performances.

The biggest factor is the big brother vs little brother syndrome. An example of this is: When I was a kid playing ping pong, checkers, chess, or just about anything, I could beat friends that could beat my brother but could never beat my brother. It wasn't because he was better. It was because we grew up with him being dominant over me. And now, even as adults it hasn't changed. The same thing is with sports. I could beat Jim in tennis and Jim could beat my brother. But I never could beat my brother. It's mental.

Vitali will always hold this over his little brother Wlaimir.

i think vitali is the stronger of the two, and has never been kayoed (only stopped twice through injury). i'd pick vitali by late tko or decision, or wlad by come-from-behind stoppage through injury.

It has, nor will it ever happen, but if the Klitschko Brothers were to fight, who would win?

These boxers are really not given the credit they deserve. Yes, they are boxing in a time when professional boxing's heavyweight division is at its weakest, as far as talent and popularity goes. But both are very good, strong, and fundamentally sound boxers.

So if the prime-version of themselves were to fight, who would win? How? When? & Why?

*Assume this bout occured at each of their primes. As of now, Wladimir is 37 yrs old & Vitali is 41.
