Avalos is a young,game and durable two- fisted promising fighter who lost to Colombian now world titlist Jonathan Romero on controversial 10 round split decision despite downing Romero in the very first round of their fight in December of 2011. He is on a comeback trail winning two fights in 2012 including a 10 round unanimous decision over the then undefeated Yenifel Vicente,

Fighting him will be a not a small leap in level of opposition for Francisco who has battled mostly fellow Filipino and Thai fighters at home. However, Francisco has already chalked up two consecutive overseas wins over Mexican trial horses.

His constant diet of patsy opponents may return to haunt him in this bout against Avalos as it did when he lost his interim super flyweight title to Thai Tepparith Kokietgym two years ago.
