Macklin was the same guy who techinally was supposed to beat Felix Stum but robbed.Macklin was the same guy who had a close fight with Sergio Martinez and even knock him down and look what Gennady Golovkin did to him he knock him out in the 3rd round like he was nothing.

We have a habit of crushing boxing's best prospects. We pick out, and magnify every assumed weakness, it's like we want boxing as a sport to die...
Mayweather is one of the leading torch carriers for the sport, yet he suffers dog's abuse from the sports 'alleged' fans.... Don't make sense to me..?
Golovkin has passed every test put before him so far... His knockout ratio is excellent. Yeah, he needs to raise the bar with regards to opposition, but he ain't fighting no bums either (Macklin gave Martinez a fright...).
I recall that Pacquaio went from a 'God' to a finished 'has been' overnight.... ?? This is ridiculous.. we call ourselves fans of the sport, yet we finish a man's career after one unexpected loss in the ring... Amazing.
This forum boasts some of the most fickle contributors on the planet... They love to build a man up, just to knock him down again.... Broner has 100% record, as does Mayweather and indeed Golovkin, yet these same guys are being ripped apart regularly on this very forum....

Golovkin would love to fight Martinez, Chavez jr. etc. problem is no one accepts to fight him. So even if he was over rated there's no way of proving it because those A-class fighters won't fight him. The reason his defense sucks is because he has not been put in with someone who's power makes him cautious. His power overwhelms his opponents and besides he has not been KO'd or knocked down in more than 375 fights. (as an amateur and pro)
your just repeating things you read.maybe he is being overrated by sum but most of what i read is fair.golovkin is taking on any1 that will face him and is doing so in brutal fashion.i think he crushes jccjr and puts a woopin on martinez.the ward fight would be awesome.obviosly ward has proven himself at a higer level for a good while now and is an elite talent himself.i need to see more of ggg before i make an assessment.alls i'l say is the potential is there

The man is a fkng beast. Yeah maybe he's yet to meet class-A fighters in the past, but someday I'm sure he will. And he ain't gonna duck 'em that's for sure.
who agrees with me this guy is overrated he fights no names the only win that is creditable is macklin but even macklin isn't the greatest. if this guy fought ward, Martinez, or even Chavez he would be out boxed. The guys he fought suck at defense. I am not going to lie he does have some power. tell me what you think if you agree or disagree?
