Who is harder to defeat - Wladimir or Vitali Klitschko?

Evffds,

Hands down Vitali. When Wlad gets hit solid as he did against Sanders, he goes down. Vitali still has the European style but his time working with Manny Steward "Americanized" his style . Vitali was beating Lennox Lewis in their fight and he was a bloody mess. You were absolutely right by saying "The uppercut Lewis landed would have put Wlad out." Not the same caliber fighter as Vitali, plan and simple.

I don't think that Wlad has the same heart as Vitali. I think if we go back to the Lewis fight and put Wlad in there instead the fight would have been over shortly after Lewis drew first blood. Vitali's lip was torn and was literally drinking his own blood.

Lewis may have been behind against Vitali on the judges cards - but Lewis wasn't in the ring to win on points lol

As for the goofball glorifying Vitali and playing down Lewis's win - just tell everybody about the fact that vitali's face required 60 fecking stitches after the fight.

ffs @ people misinforming people on here !! FAAARRK ! ^_^

and im not even a pro lewis man - Tyson all the way ;-)

BUT I respect Lennox Lewis and he's up there amongst the greats no doubt - nah he couldnt have messed with a Tyson in his prime , but still a great.

as I said - 60 mutha feckin stitches to his face lol.

you decide who was the better fighter on the night. The guy who won and gave the other guy a new face job or the guy who required 60 stitches to his face ( and a face job ) lol

I agree with everything you mentioned.

Wladimir has much better technique and is also more powerful (meaning has a harder punch) than his older brother. And today I also think he's harder to beat by the way.

But back in his prime Vitali was a more dangerous fighter than Wladimir has ever been. His chin was amazing. Very true what you said regarding Lewis' impressive uppercut. 99 % of all heavyweights in boxing history would have probably been out instantly if they had been hit by this one. It was pretty unbelievable that he wasn't even really hurt. Vitali also has a true warrior mind, he's a fearless and mentally extremely tough fighter. He's much harder to be taken out of his game plan than Wladimir.

Wladimir today has much experience and is self-assured and extremely hard to beat, mainly because of that, no doubt. But he sometimes showed problems especially when he faced large opponents.

The main differences are their chins and different mindsets I think.

Kind regards from Germany

In their prime Vitali would be the clear answer here though with his body breaking down, his reactions slowing and the like I think he's very much there for the taking right now. It's only been the past 2 or 3 fights where it's been noticeable but Vitali is certainly starting to look his age.

I am 100% with you on this.

And I would not even say Wlad would be better offensively he probably hits harder but I think Vitali is more illusive, Both in their prime I say Vitali is a better fighter the problem is now he is 41 and Wlad is younger and stronger.

Vitali is gamer but Wladimir is smarter. I think it's harder to beat a smart than a game fighter. The reason Vitali has been untouched for years since last losing by TKO to Lennox Lewis is that he has not faced somebody who could really stand up to his power and threaten him in return.Only Dereck Chisora has managed to force him to fight the full distance and somewhat posed problems. But Chisora is far from the caliber of the likes of Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield and Bowe in their best prime. Chisora was even KTFO by David Haye who was outclassed by Wladdy in their title fight.

both of Vitalis losses where SOMEWHAT questionable, although truth be told he has 2 KO losses on his record....

in contrast, Wlady has three very definitive KO losses on his record, and as a result has the "glass jaw" reputation

i think Vitali is the faster of the two, but he often times gives up much of his height advantage by his crouching stance....

i agree with you, Wlady would not have stood up to Lennox's best punches the way Vitali did

Vitali is harder to KO.. But wlad is I'n better shape.

I think d Haye could beat Vitali.

IMO, Vitali is more resilient as Wlad, when pressured can't fight going backward and is prone to being hit and hurt.

You said it best, granite vs glass.

I know that the younger Wladimir is labelled slightly the better fighter, but I think he's much easier to beat than Vitali. Wladimir is better offensively....but the difference is defence.

It's because Vitali has a granite chin............Wladimir has a glass one.

The guys that knocked out Wladimir would have never beaten Vitali. And the uppercut Lewis landed against Vitali would have put his brother out for the 10 count!

I don't know why people rate Wladimir higher than his brother, just because he hits harder and fought title fights?

I don't think they are can be compared, they're two different boxers, instead of that they're brothers.
