I think that Timothy bradley and Manny pacquiao will give him ( Floyd mayweather ) a tough fight but they will lose in a compeitive bout.
At 160-at least 5 fighters "could" beat him
At 154 -Austin Trout
At 147-Timothy Bradley or Pacquiao
Floyd is not really a true 154 lb fighter. Not by today's standards anyhow. Floyd is lucky if he's 152 entering the ring after making weight for welter or light middle, and many 140lb fighters enter the ring at 150-154. Floyd was 15 lbs lighter than Canelo in their fight, and still people are expecting him to go up in weight! To expect FLoyd to fight middleweights basically means there's no one between 140-154 that can beat him. I think Austin Trout would give FLoyd a very difficult fight at 154 because Austin is 4 inches taller and has more reach, and will weigh close to 170 in the ring. This fight will not get made because Austin does not have a big following, but at 154 that's the toughest fight for FLoyd, and I personally think Austin beat Canelo in their meeting, but I think Canelo got the win because everyone was pushing for an undefeated Canelo vs. an undefeated Mayweather. The tougher fight would have been Trout vs. Mayweather because Trout has better boxing skills than Canelo. It will take a boxer to beat Floyd, not a flat footed puncher like Canelo. If FLoyd decides to venture into the middleweights he will get beat by any of the top 3(GGG, Quillen, Martinez). At 5'7 1/2" he'll simply be too small to fight 6' tall fighters that outweigh him and will lean on him and beat on him. Triple G would punch Floyd's lead shoulder so hard for 5 rounds that FLoyd would not be able to throw a left hand. Lets remember folks that even the best fighter of all time, Sugar Ray Robinson lost via TKO when he tried to fight at 175 when he was only 157 lbs. He collapsed from heat exhaustion I believe in the 13th or 14th rd.
One word; AGE.
I don't want to hear the GGG sh*t anymore either. Floyd is the champ at 147lb and 154lb, and he beats all fighters that compete at those respective weightclasses.
I love Golovkin, that dude is a monster and I only really ever watched him close when he fought Kassim Ouma (great fight) a couple years ago. Since then I've been a fan.
Fact is he's a middleweight though. He can make 154lb (according to him and his people), but he's not a junior-middleweight. He's a middleweight, and the best one in the world IMO.
Oh yeah, there's this little issue of him being with HBO and Floyd being with Showtime. People seem coincidentally forget thsi fact when trying to b*tch and whine about Mayweather.
Alright, I'm done ranting. Nobody is a challenge to Floyd besides full sized middleweights and the good fighters above that.
No-one is a threat to his record at the moment. He is a full-fledged welterweight and occasionally makes the move to 154 for a big money fight. People who would pose interesting puzzles for Mayweather to face are the usual Pacquaio and Bradley but we all know Floyd Jr would dominate. If you look hard, you will only see middleweights being the only interesting prospects for Money to face. Mayweather doesn't belong with Junior Middleweight and he should never step in with 160 pounders.
if you will take out all the barriers (mostly excuses) such as promoters rivalry gbp vs. tp or the network wars hbo vs. showtime...still it will be pac.. like they said style makes fights, pac wont box floyd, he will rain on floyd.... pour it all down on floyd.. hes style is a bit awkward and his southpaw stance wl make alot of difference...
other than pac...ggg, martinez, ward all middleweights... they wont b a threat anymore if they go down 152 for floyd,
whoelse, bradley, jmm, garcia...aw come on, give me a break!
Wladimir Klitschko
Age and weight...if he gets old over night or fights a Middleweight
He's not a real Jr Middleweight. He should not fight at 160
People who say slow *** GGG are morons. No defense, slow and no headmovement.
