Pacquiao, because of his style, would have a lot of trouble against a defensive fighter like Mayweather. I mean look at how much Marquez troubled Pacquiao... And Mayweather is even a level beyond Marquez.
In short, Mayweather would win.

I think that at welterweight Pacquiao has the best chance of beating Floyd.. He punches in volume, and very hard. Mayweather doesn't really deserve to share the ring with the Pac Man because he is a cherry picking disgrace to boxing. But i would say chance wise it would be 60/40 in favour of Mayweather.
But when all is said and done and the dust settles on their careers Pacquiao will be remembered as the better man, with the better highlight reel. He didnt duck anyone. Mayweather is a god damn *****, a straight up punk-****. there you go haha theres the truth.
Primealivstyson makes the point that styles make fights, but I think Pacquiao's style is always going to have trouble with Floyd. Floyd is not going stand in front of Manny and walk straight to him. Floyd would have movement, and angles and he would be hard to hit. The good thing about Pacquiao is that he has fight changing (often, fight ending) power. He has to land first. His workrate would allow him to land sometimes but not a lot. Because, like everyone else, Manny would be missing a lot like everyone else. Eventually the frustration of that would lead to Manny who is foremost offensive and would be looking to give the fans something special and answer the many words of Mayweather would reach and be out of position. This is where Marquez troubled Manny. Manny had been out of position and been countered by Marquez troubling him in all 4 fights...KO'd in the last. Floyd is a better and faster counter puncher than Marquez. This would be Pacquiao's undoing.

Realistically Mayweather is better in every area of boxing. I see Floyd Jabbing Pacquiao at will, and basically doing what he wants with him. Toying with him.
Omg how many times must people know Pac is done and couldnt ever beat marquez convincingly. He just got KOed! And if you think he ever beat marquez then he lost to bradley. He couldn't ever hang with Floyd. Floyd would school and embarrass him. Why? Because pac is only an aggressive brawler with footwork. No defense or head movement just footwork.

facts about pac's punches: it's hard, it's in volume, comes from different angles, comes from the opposite pole and it's blinding fast...so how come flomos here can say pac wont be able to hit floyd, that floyd would be able to contain pac's volume punches... they even say, pac only beat guys that doesnt move... well who is chartchai sasakul, mosley, or even erik morales?
