I'm thinking Broner, Garcia, Canelo, and Ward. I'm also thinking Adonis Stevenson. He has an exciting style and is from Canada. Wilder could be the real deal, but hasn't beaten anyone relevant.
I agree with all you've said except I think that garcia should be in the first list. Boxing will miss mayweather when he retired
I like your lists, I would throw Garcia, and maybe even Gamboa on your first list.
Boxing at the moment has few elite warriors and has many talented one who are just a level or two below. Mayweather, Pacquiao, Martinez, the Klitschkos will be leaving in the next couple of years. The new faces of boxing and will most probably be in the hall of fame are listed below:
- Andre Ward
- Saul Canelo Alvarez
- Adrien Broner
- Gennedy Golovkin ( He is actually 32 years old but looks like he will be staying for a while )
- Rigondeux
- Donaire
The unknowns for me are:
- Sergey Kovalev
- Deontay Wilder
- Danny Garcia
Im not yet sold on how these fighters. They seem to be a steps behind the elite fighters of today.
The only fighter on this list who l think truly has a chance at hanging with the All-time greats is Andre Ward. His talent in undeniable. He is like Mayweather but without the mouth. If he was flashy at least or talked some trash, everyone would easily be backing him to be the future and more so challenge Mayweather at the moment for the pound for pound throne. But he isn't. He is like Rigondeuz unfortuantely, not that entertaining in the ring or outside. Should take notes from Adrien Broner. Canelo is basically like Andre Ward personality wise but is mexican. So it doesn't matter if he isn't that exciting, people will follow him. His got the talent and looks. He is the next De La Hoya. Broner the next Mayweather ( Not skill-wise but in marketablity ). Wilder and the rest haven't proven to me to be elite for that matter and probably will end up like Timothy Bradley. Very good fighters but not hall of fame material
