I havent watched enough of their fights to say to be honest. My experience of watching these guys is 2 Duran fights only. The best Lightweight i've seen is Pernell Whitaker. Add Shane Mosley to the conversation as well.
Duran was the best Lightweight ever, and as a lightweight, might of been the great boxer ever.
Duran was the better lightweight, he had hands of stone and destroyed everyone in that weight class.
Watching him pound guys into submission was almost painful to me, I can only imagine the pain to the boxers being destroyed in the ring.
Duran without a doubt, you might as well ask who was the superior fighter John L. Sullivan or Wladimir Klitschko, or who was better Jack Johnson or Muhammad Ali.
