mine was a young english fighter called bradley stone he was the same age as me and i was boxing at the time myself and i had trained with him . he was fighting for the british title and he was stopped in the 10th rd and die a few days later .it hit me hard as was someone i'd trained with and he was the same age as me and if things was a little different it could of been me .

after stones death it made me question if i wanted to box anymore and i quit soon after ,it wasn't the only reason but a big one .

Oh man, every fighter's death hit one too many or another. From Chico to GAtti, The MAcho man to Arguello. No single soul coming from a boxing fan's club will never shed a tear....But the thing that stroke me most is when Benny PAret died after long time rival and childhood neighbor friend EMily Griffith made him breath his last and bid the boxing world goodbye.

Which boxer's death hit you the hardest?

No one ever came close when my grandfather - a pugilist and prizefighter himself died 3 years ago (2011). RIP Grandpa. Tis the reason i linger in this boxing forum

Joe Frazier. Ken Norton. Rocky Marciano because he was young and had so much to give and could enjoy life.

When Benny Kid Paret was killed in the ring it was very difficult because I watched the fight live.

It is different than hearing about someone dying when you actually see them being killed.

Easy, Salvador Sanchez. I was simply in shock.

Obviously any death of any fighter is sad but I was wondering which one in your opinion hit you the hardest. The one that hit me the hardest IMO was either Diego Corrales, Arturo Gatti or Alexis Arguello.
