Which boxer has the best jab off all time?

Here in my opinion are the men with the greatest jabs of all time:

1. Joe Gans. The Old Master is credited with inventing the jab.

2. Benny Leonard. The Ghetto Wizard had more than one jab that he used for different purposes.

3. Tommy Loughran. The Philly Phantom was revered for his great left jab.

4. Larry Holmes. No heavyweight had the combination of speed and power like Larry's.

5. Joe Louis. Louis threw precision punches and his jab was fast and powerful.

6. Marvin Hagler. Threw a vicious jab from a southpaw stance packing great velocity.

7. Muhammad Ali. Great foot and hand speed. Threw lightnng fast rapier jabs and rarely missed.

8. Sonny Liston. Sonny smashed teeth with his vicious left jab.

9. Thomas Hearns. Learned his from the Kronk Gym. It was wicked and created openings for his right hand.

10. Oscar De La Hoya. Oscar was a tremendous boxer and had a beautiful jab as you say.

Don't listen to these morons saying Klitschko. Boxing is not what it used to be and modern fighters are all criminals. To answer your question correctly, Ali had the best jab of all time. By definition, a jab is not the knockout punch. Usually knockouts are caused by a series of jabs. Ali was a master at this and beat many opponents this way.

The best I have seen during my time belongs to Wladimir Klitschko, Thomas Hearns and Oscar DLH, agreed there. Also Ricardo Lopez had an incredible technical jab and doesn't get the credit he deserves for it.

Larry Holmes. His jab had the quickness of Ali's and the power of Liston's.
