To be honest i dont like how he suck punched his opponent. Their heads clashed in the first round. The Thai struggled to get up and shook the dizziness like a man. When the Thai tried to touch gloves as sign of courtesy and respect to a world class fighter, the world class boxer showed no class but punched right down the middle.What an irony! I always thought respect begets respect even in a brutal sport like boxing.
Where will Rigondeaux end up ?
He will end up like Ward. Undefeated but no bout yet prepared. Their fans get fewer and fewer everytime they fight because of their not pleasing fighting style
I think Rigondeaux countenance after his last fight in Macau showed it. He was happy with the result, a first round knockout but I don't think he was happy with the type of opponent he was fed with, a Thai with a long-winded tongue twister of a surname as usual. I think it's Rigo's last fight for Top Rank. I think he will be better off with GBP and he hinted that he may be headed for that direction as he has expressed einterest at fighting Leo Santacruz, a GBP top ward and his closest rival for supremacy in the 122 lbs. class never mind Martinez, Quigg and Frampton.
I think he will sign with Al Haymon like his friend Lara who recently got the big fight he wanted with Canelo.
I am sure there's a lot of promoters who would like to sign him most especially Al Haymon who got some big influence on networks. It is actually the networks who doesn't want to air his fights due to low rating. HBO refuse to accept him in their network and so does Showtime. Al who got some good influence in boxing can do something. Sometimes winning doesn't relayed to expectation.
Will he go back to TR or pick another team, what are his options and chances of being signed by other promoters?
