I just think he's not as motivated as he used to be after his big payday with Floyd ,i feel Victor has reached his personal goals in boxing by becoming a champion and becoming rich.
I think when he quit against Marcos Maidana, it kinda showed that maybe he doesn't have the heart for boxing. Most fighters would rather die in the ring than quit on their own, Look at Joe Frazier when he fought Ali in Manilla. Joe wanted to continue despite being battered and blinded. It was his trainer Eddie Futch that finally had to stop the fight. Ali fought 12 rounds with a broken jaw against Kenny Norton, and Arturo Gatti had numerous fights with injuries and never once quit himself. Ortiz is a decent fighter, but I just don't think he has that true warrior spirit to keep going when it gets super tough in there.
When he quit against Maidana
After the sucker punch against Floyd, to whom he probably agreed to take a dive for the money that it got him.
wHEN HE SUDDENLY AND RUDELY REALIZED THAT HE HAS NO STOMACH FOR THE BRUTALITY OF THE SPORT ESPECIALLY IF IT HEAPED UPON HIM.
the maidana fight, floyd fight,or was he never built up for boxing in the first place
