When was the last moment where Mayweather looked like he could have been knocked out or down? That was probably during the Shane Mosley bout. With about 2 minutes to go in the 2nd round, Mosley threw a right straight that landed flush on Mayweather's jaw that shook Mayweather up enough to possibly be finished, but he was able to hang on to Mosley's right arm to keep Mosley from following up with any power shots that could have possibly ended the fight. Also, later in that same round, Mosley landed a right hook/cross that landed on the side of Mayweather's head. But again, Mayweather was able to hold on to Mosley long enough to regain his composure. However, the rest of the fight was completely dominated by Mayweather. So while Mayweather was close to being put down, the conclusion of the fight was not close. Mayweather clearly won.

When was the last time Mayweather could have, or maybe even should have, lost a bout?
I see a lot of people referring to the 1st bout between Mayweather & Castillo, 11 years ago, back in April of 2002.
However, I think the last time Mayweather came close to losing, or maybe even should have lost, was only 7 years ago in his bout against Oscar de la Hoya. CompuBox Punch Stats show Mayweather landing more power punches and more total punches, with better accuracy. However, due to Mayweather's defensive style, the shoulder roll, many punches, especially to the body, that actually may have landed, and maybe even caused damage, were not counted as landed punches by the compubox statisticians. Also, Oscar landed many punches to Floyd's arms, which take a toll over 12 rounds, were considered as blocked punches. Overall, de la Hoya was much busier, controlling the tone of the fight, and overpowering Mayweather by bullying him against the ropes. So, while Mayweather ultimately won the bout by Split Decision, by winning, in total, by 4 rounds from the 3 judges, or 2 judges voting for Mayweather and 1 for de la Hoya, I saw it as de la Hoya winning the bout by a split decision.
When was he close to losing to Mosley? He battered Mosley, OK he got caught in the 2nd but the worst case scenario there would have been a knockdown, then he would have got up and beaten him anyway.
The last time (but not the only time) was indeed against the Golden Boy and that was a helluva long time ago too, when I scored that fight I gave it to Mayweather by 1 but yeah, split decision on the official scorecards, too close for comfort I would imagine, but since then it's been dominance, clear winner of every fight since
Against Mosley, against De La Hoya, against Jose Luis Castillo and against Hatton (he nearly knocked Mayweather down in the 1st round, and he never gave up in the fight).
His 1st fight with Jose Louis Castillo many say he lost and his fight was Oscar De La Hoya was at times very competitive and some what close but that is it if any one would call these fights close!
The fights aren't fixed bro. Anyway, he has only had 2 close fights in his career. De La Hoya as well as Castillo. Other fights you could POSSIBLY CONSIDER close is Castillo II and Miguel Cotto.
When he fought Mosley, De la Hoya.
But he already lost to Pacquiao when he refused fighting him twice in a row (I think). Sadly, Pacquiao is no longer in his prime..maybe we all be hearing things that he'll fight Pacquiao without any conditions in the next coming months.
I don't think Mayweather is the best in boxing, what I think is he's the best ducker of all times.
Jose Luis Castillo I... Some say he did lose...every other fight wasn't close in my opinion.
He already lost his balls... And he's not getting 'em back anytime soon.
i know he picks his opponents and how much they make....regardless of whether or not the matches are fixed the human element comes in and the fighters can choose to go against it if they want to...when was mayweather close to getting tkoed or losing via decision?
