It depends on who your first opponent will be--is he a first timer like you or already has had some earlier fights before. The most important thing to do is study your opponent as thoroughly as you could so that there will be no surprises. Against a fellow fight debutante, having vast knowledge of his style, his habits, his strengths and weknesses will help you a great deal. You can also study tapes, if there are, of your opponent if he has already logged some fights so that with the help of your camp/corner, you can come up and devise some fight plans and strategies to spring some surprises yourself at fight time.
As in war, pre-battle intelligence gathering and preparations are as essential as fighting the battle itself.
What you can expect: You're going to get the crap kicked out of you because you're a wuss.
What you can do: Stop worrying about the outcome, stop living in the future and live in the now. Remember everything you've learned and trained for and just focus on fighting as best you can. Fight smart, fight fast, and remember the only thing to fear is fear itself. Losing is not the end of the world, it is only through failures and losses that we grow.

I couldn't agree more with the statement made in the above site: "...you didn’t train hard enough..."
expected to get knocked the eff out.
ok so I'm about to have my boxing match in a few weeks and I'm a lil nervous about what to expect like and i was also wondering every time someone fights they go in with some boxing shorts , and I'm wondering do i have to buy some or can i go in like with some regular shorts, this is my first boxing match i don't know what to expect I'm a bit nervous and i also don't wanna get beat up, like I've really progressed from were i was when i started, i went from getting beat up all the time, to dominating all the teenagers I've sparred but I get nervous because i think like what if the guy i fight is way better then me and he just beats me up so ya i would also wondering if someone could give me a few pointers.
