If you own either belt you are undoubtably a world champ. WBC is older but is one of the most corrupt originations the world has ever seen. WBO is newer but in its time (1988) it's had the best champions of all four sanctioning bodies. But It's also much easier to get a unification fight if u are WBC champ but as Rigondeaux, Bradley , W Klitschko, quillin and Marquez are all current WBO world champions its obviously held in high regard by the elite fighters. Right now from bottom to top it's IBF, WBC, WBO, WBA as the best sanctioning bodies.
The main difference is that the WBO just have regular world champions. It does not have super champions, champions in recess, interim champions, diamond belt, golden belt, silver belt champions. Could you imagine WBC having as many as three so-called world champions in one weight class simultaneously? Weird!
WBO may be the lesser of the four major boxing organizations now, but it is far better than the WBA and the WBC in terms of keeping the sanity of its member national boxing federations. Even its regional or international championships are more coherent and orderly than the rest.
The difference is one ends with a C and the other ends with an O. They're both one of the 4 major titles within each of the 17 weight divisions. The WBC is the older of the 2 organizations and arguably the more popular/respected. The WBA is the oldest of the 4 titles I believe
WBC is a much older organization and one of the most prestigious along with WBA and IBF. But then again, in this day and age, when boxing titles are worth a dime a dozen, there's not much difference anyway. Boxers now fight for money and not boxing titles.

WBO is definitely better than the WBC. WBC is the worst of the 4 sanctioning bodies because of it's like that one retarded guy in class who doesn't know anything and barely tries.
