I took it up 2 years ago because I was interested and I have never looked back. 16 now. Didn't have to convince my parents, because I told them that where was a lot of skipping and stamina training involved (which is true of course!). But actually I just thought it would be fun to try out a sport that not many take part in and one that is hard.
The 2012 olympics, when I seen that someone by where I live got a bronze medal. I didn't really ever like boxing and only watched the main matches like mayweather v hatton etc.. Then I thought I'd take up boxing because it looked easy to become one of the best. Then I realised how hard it was and now I want it even more
I got attacked all throughout school. I had to learn boxing, so I wouldn't be tasting the concrete every day.
Irish successful in boxing? If you talking about Mike Tyson loosing to that piece of ****,just go home and **** your self.
As to your question, why because i was bullied when i was in secondary school but of course now,I bully them :)
What made you take an interest in the sweet science and what particularly made you want to get involved? Did you have to convince your parents etc? For me I first took an interset in boxing during the beijing Olympics. Being Irish it was the best sport to be watching as it's the one we are most successful in compared to other sports.I did not actually take up the sport for nearly another 4 years in early 2012 partly because I wasn't massively in to it and my parents didn't like the idea of me boxing.
