Floyd didn't perfect the shoulderroll, he gets hit allot in the body during shoulder roll, in attempts to absorb them with his arm some get through; Charley Burley has a better shoulderroll, he picked off punches with his shoulder, he didn't absorb them like Floyd tends to do.
Doc(tracey),
Joe Louis & Lennox Lewis had more accuracy according to compubox [they also hit hard for their weight].
What Floyd did do is have the highest hit-don't get hit % in championship boxing history BUT this is watered up because of his competition and the fact is that many ATG were not recorded by compubox
A champion for 17 years. Also just because someone else has done it does not mean there's no one as good. Otherwise people who u didn't mention who are hall of framers wouldn't be would they such as Leonard hagler Frazier etc. it's not about doing one thing the best it's about doing everything great is what makes a special fighter. I agree he is not the best ever but I think out of who u mentioned only Robinson pep and Ali are in the same league. He is the least hit and not hit percentage and also did you notice near every boxer you mentioned was from before mayweather? So it will be very hardto break records in 50 years time f that's the case no one can ever be the best ever so every boxer may aswell give up
mayweather is the best counter puncher ever. i will say mayweather has made more money boxing than all the boxers you mentioned. i do not think he will be broke after boxing or still fighting at age 50 like holyfield because holyfield is broke and has 10 kids. i would also say mayweather is the greatest ppv draw of all time. mayweather is probably the best manager of his money earnings out of all the boxers you mentioned
He isn't the best ever, but he's a great fighter.
He completely perfected the shoulder roll. James Toney was good with it, but very inconsistent - Mayweather completely perfected the technique, he also brought the technique to fame. Yet so many fighters try to imitate it and so few actually succeed. One of the best defensive fighters ever.
i don't think there has ever been a fighter that has been as accurate with his shots as floyd .
also there have been many great counter punchers but none that punished the other guy like floyd does when they miss .
@jesus i haven't checked lewis stats but i can't see how lennox's accuracy is as good as floyd's just from watching them both fight .i might be wrong but lewis doesn't seem as good .
I would never call him the greatest ever, but I bet he beat more champions, then any other undefeated fighter, and that's if he finishes undefeated.
CMON MAN BIG BRO ON TOP FOR 17 YEARS AND YOU STILL NOT GIVING HIM CREDIT? WHATS WRONG WIT YOU MAN?
Don't say he's undefeated because Ricardo Lopez, Joe Calzaghe, Rocky Marciano, Sven Ottke all retired undefeated.
Don't say he's multiple weight champion because Manny Pacquiao and Hector Camacho won titles in 7 different weight categories.
Archie Moore had 131 wins by KO , someone Floyd will never do
Bernard Hopkins is 48 and a world champion, something Floyd won't do
Sugar Ray Robinson won 173 fights , Floyd won't do that
Willie Pep once won a round without throwing a punch, I'd like too see Floyd try that
Edwin Valero won every single fight by KO, Floyd can't dream if doing that
Muhammad fought a whole fight on the ropes against a MASSIVE puncher (George Foreman) and ended up wining by KO, I'd like to see Floyd try that against Golovkin
My point is he is not the 'The Best Ever' because fighters have done better things than him, so regarding him as the TBE is stupid
