The formula for joules of energy (power) in a moving object (fist) is:
1/2 (mass) (velocity)^2
=1/2 (kilograms of pushing force) (metres/second)^2
Since speed exponentially increases better than power, training for speed will ultimately have more BANG power. You can practice simply punching the air as quickly as you can. Punch by punch, day by day, week by week, month by month, year by year, you'll improve to have a punch that rocks.
Heavy bag and explosively fast push ups for explosive power..and sit ups becuz real power comes from legs...
Things to make you punch harder;
1) wrist exercise to get your wrists used to punching with force
2) forearms exercises
3) biceps and triceps
4) shoulder exercises
Heavy bag??
