After Pacquiao, he took around a year off, he had a scheduled fight in the early months of 2012 but had an injury so had to push it back to late 2011. After that I expected him to fight regularly again, it seems he would have maintained his position in the top levels of the WW division. I think he would have made a good gatekeeper type fighter and could have made some money doing so.
Last I heard, was last year, back in Ghana his brother was suing him for blocking his fight saying Joshua was preventing him from earning a living. His (Joshua's) side of it was he was keeping his brother from getting hurt further after getting seriously injured in a previous fight. I don't know how it all ended up but I hope he's doing ok.
Good question. I'd be kind of surprised if he just hung them up. With only 4 career losses with one a UD from Manny and another a DQ and never lost by KO. He hasn't fought since 2011 but maybe someone has some inside info for you on this.
Other fighters have been off longer so don't be shocked if you see him coming back.
That would explane a lot, J.
He retired from boxing November 19th 2011 after the Calvin Green fight.
Who cares. After the Manny Pacquaio fight I lost interest in seeing him doing anything.
it's looks like he retired but i find it hard to get my head around cus he seemed like an excellent contender who had a lot going for him
