Actually nightmare is correct in stating the winner gets a belt if you were referring to the national golden gloves open division but there are more golden gloves tournaments out there than one can shake a stick at and the winner can get anything from a watch to a cup or most likely a trophy.
You get a trophy that years later will end up in the closet.
The novice division does not advance beyond the region so no state or national championships.
