A. IF a rematch with Juan '3 Rematches' Marquez: Pacquiao wins easily by UD.
B. Doubtful a rematch: 1) Manny is above Juan because Juan just LOST and boy did he whine and cry about it. 2) Meanwhile Pac c-l-e-a-r-l-y outclassed Rios in his win.
C. I think a Bradley rematch in Asia would be the next logical conclusion (given Floyd 'Xylocaine-Hands' Mayweather is too obsessed on ped-testing). The sport clearly likes The Venetian Macau arena!
D. At 34 years old Pacquiao is still blessed with elite abilities and Manny is within a 2 year window of opportunity to fight Floyd who is ON-THE-OUTS-WITH-HIS AGE at 36.
Father Time favors Pacquiao over Mayweather by two years.
I honestly wanted to see JMM vs PAc for the nth time. I honestly wanted to see JMM vs PAc for the nth time.
- Rios said we are in for a big surprise. Oh boy he didnt lie. We are indeed surprised. People thought PAc was done and gone and should of hang up the gloves. they should have thought otherwise. It was a clinic and a masterful performance by the Pacman. If only PAc did that and didnt try too hard to axe Marquez' head off in the dying seconds of the 6th round last december, then we might have seen the fastest defensive fighter vs the fastest offensive boxer as put it, in both ends of the ring giving us fans the fight we all longed for all those years
I think the fight was a joke and a big waste of time, sure pac looked great in there, like a master schooling his student. What people fail to realize about this fight is it played out exactly how it was supposed to from the day this fight was signed. That was the whole purpose of this fight to begin with for Manny to beat the snot out of Rios get some confidence back and to get pats on the back and get himself back in the mix for true mega fights. This fight had no buisness on ppv to begin with, it was strictly a money grab fight and a way to rob the fans... i was smart enough not to pay for this fight.
Far as pac's future goes he must do more to "earn" a shot at Floyd, at least another convincing win over a top p4p fighter or a win over another good undefeated fighter.
I really dont want to see him fight Marquez again either cause there is no point.... everyone is sick of them fighting each other at this point. I also really dont care to see him fight bradley again either... whats the point? He already beat bradley once ... maybe not on paper but pointless fight not too mention boring as all hell.
He can fight the winner of broner vs madiana
He can fight Dannny Garcia (small fighter/undefeated)
There are not too many realistic options or worthy opponents at or below his weight but if he is feeling froggy he can fight GGG or Sergio Martinez. When pac fought Margarito he was practically a full fledged middle weight so for him to fight GGG or Martinez is a lot to ask but they are close to the same size Margarito is/was.
It wasn't a fight, it's more of an exhibition match, a sparring session between two guys with roles to play and who would not want to hurt each other, especially Rios who fought very, very differently. There was no punch thrown in real rage by Rios.
I hope Pacquiao fights a foe from another stable like Robert Guerrero or Keith Thurman so that we will really have a fight.
Manny pacquiao should fight Timothy bradley next because he arguably won the first fight. He will make a big statement if was to beat bradley. He will be higher on the p4p rank and he will be back near the top. In Conclusion, he looked impressive and now it's time for him to fight elite fighters.
Good performance for Manny. I think two more fights against top notch guys and to rebuild his steam and momentum a lil more than a fight with Mayweather becomes exciting and of huge public demand again.
it was like canelo vs mayweather
I see quite a bit of opposite but similarity between Pacquiao and Mayweather..main similarity is theyre like Sonic the Hedgehog with a Super Mario star..translation: amazing speed..in one point in the fight..Rios had to swing to try and punch Pac..which he totally missed because Pac was already on the other side of him..I admit he is somewhat better defensively than I initially thought..however the huge difference..Pac is mainly an offensive and explosive fighter..Pac uses his speed mainly for his offense..while Mayweather does use his speed for his offense..he uses it mostly for his defense..and I know they will most likely keep playing "tag youre it" til the other one retires..but in their division I think they are the two fastest boxers..Id love to see the fastest offensive boxer vs fastest defensive boxer..but even though that wont happen..who do you think Pac will face next..i honestly don't want to see another Marquez-Pac fight..
