Sonny Liston -- tainted by the spectacular controversies surrounding the two Ali fights is a career - before his fall - where he would defeat opponents before walking into the ring, he was feared/intimidated so much by fighters and facets of the "mainstream" public/media -- and, afterward, had brought himself back to the possibility of a title shot before the mysterious death...that still has unanswered questions.
Edvin Valero was a bit naughty.
Cohen was a bad guy but not a great boxer so i wouldn't say him personally.
Carlos Monzon was bad. He assaulted every woman he was involved with, hospitalized reporters for taking his photograph and was imprisoned after throwing his wife off of a balcony and killing her. Tyson is a close second although he seems to have sorted himself out now.
