Along with the great fights he had orchestrated, he became an obstacle to some. I once dreamed of a Juanma Lopez - Gamboa showdown. You too i guess, and Ronnie, or Jhonny, KAlam or Sean. F*** Arum for that not happening. And then there's of course the never ending Mayweather -Pacquiao debacle. Sometimes, it becomes a 'take or leave it' routine for TR. Its damn if we have Bob in the sport and damn if we have him not
Arum is one of the top three promoters in the history of the sport of boxing. Like all vampires, you don't want to run into Bob during the nighttime, but in the day light, Bob is usually safely tucked away in his crypt somewhere dark, so it's safer to associate with him. I don't really know who has sharper fangs, or more confirmed kills, Bob Arum or Don King, but they were to two top predators in the boxing business for the past four decades.
The man is a legend, and I don't know why Hollywood hasn't made a movie about him yet, I guess it's because they are afraid to ask him for permission to make one. People who offend Bob tend to disappear faster then those who offend Don King. If Bob and Don ever got into a pissing contest, the rest of boxing would drown.

I remember people here claimed Arum was protecting his cash cow. Well Pac was robbed against Tim. We didn't hear Arum complaining. He sets up Pac vs Marquez IV and his cash cow got KTFO.

He is a great promoter, but I have no respect for him. After the was he froze Omar Henry's career, after he went after Donaire's wife when he was trying to leave Top Rank...and other offenses. He makes money for himself, that's why Floyd and Oscar left him and became richer. Cotto's biggest payday came after he left him (vs Floyd). Pacquiao would have made more money without him. Hes a hustler.
