He doesnt throw enough punches to be considered a swarmer cause he puts so much on his punches. And hes pretty accurate for a slugger.
He cuts the distance pretty well but doesnt move around the ring or box like GGG to be considered a boxer-puncher. Hes a skilled calculated slugger
To be honest, provodnikov closes the distances better than Rios. Although rios is technically sound inside, he doesnt possess the explosiveness that Provodnikov possesses. However, Provodnikov is a slugger, through and through. He often headhunts, but he isnt toally mindless and he will keep on you.
I believe he is improving though

In my personal opinion he's slighlty overrated. He doesn't use his mind when he fights. He could have had Timothy Bradley out of there had he went to Bradley's body but instead he fought a dumb fight & strictly head hunted.
People criticize Brandon Rios but at the very least he has way better craft on the inside & body punching than does Provodnikov. Ruslan Provodnikov is the real punching bag.
Then folks say Marquez is ducking Ruslan. HA!! Marquez would dice that bum up & send him back to wherever the hell he came from.
He would be considered a slugger/brawler. He fights very similiar to Rocky Marciano. He just throws punches and lands them on the arms, body, head, he doesnt really care as long as he does damage.
I would suggest a mix of slugger & brawler, with a sprinkling of pressure fighter added...
brawler... relentless, go forward, hard puncher... high risk high reward, next ppv sensation but sad, I see everybody avoiding him...

He's a brawler who comes forward nonstop.

Watched a few of his fights and I've came to the conclusion that it can only be one of these three...
