no the fight was not fixed because if it was fixed then gonzalez would not have beaten burns so convincingly in the first 7 rounds. the fact is gonzalez threw every punch he had on burns chin in the 7 round and burns was still standing there so when gonzalez seen that he lost heart and was totally gassed after throwing so many punches and then he quit because he realised that burns had a great chin and he could not knock him out the fight was not fixed gonzalez just lost his heart great determination from burns to take those big punches and still be standing
No I just watched this fight the way everyone was talking I thought Burns was getting killed . This was a real boxing match from the out side. Burns was losing up until the 7th round when the other guy went for the knock out and did not get it. This is why boxers run everyday he ran out of gas not because of the pace of the fight it was because of the size of the event. This was not a fixed fight go back and re watch it. Everyone on here knows that I am the first person to say a fight is fixed so to my surprise after watching it the other guy just ran out of gas. Here is the first real sign the other guy ran out of gas when Burns leaned on him and he went to his knees I knew he was finished. A fight is not over until it's over Burns won a fight the old fashion way he out lasted the better fighter. You very seldom see a pro fighter quit like this.
Hearn probably offered Gonzalez team an extra 20 thousand for Gonzalez to stay sitting,If burns lost then his career would be over.
