I respect your opinion but I believe Cotto won only 4 rounds. He definitely gave Floyd the hardest fight in years, but not enough for the win.
Floyd got hit hard, bleed, and would not be surprised if he felt hurt at times. But most of the fight, Floyd managed to dodge Cotto's punches and strike back.
Again, Cotto made it a fight and some rounds where hard to call, but I believe mayweather won. I will be honest though, the judges watched a completely different fight. Mayweather won but the scoring was way disrespectful. They made it seem like if Cotto did nothing at all.
Get off the pipe. It was a great and tough fight, but Mayweather adjusted in the fight and definately won. Even Cotto would have to admit it too.
I was rooting for Cotto in that fight. Cotto had success with the jab and landed some wicked hooks to Mayweather's body when Mayweather was on the ropes. However I had Cotto losing a 4 round to 8 decision. Although Cotto had success when Floyd was on the ropes, Floyd was in control for most of the fight. Floyd landed brilliant uppercuts and looping right hands around Cotto's high guard and almost dropped Cotto in the 12th. It was a competitive fight for the first half but after the 7th round it was all Mayweather.
Nope. That fight was close through the first half, but if you know how to score a fight, then it was easy to see that Floyd won convincingly. Not at all anything close to a robbery.
Cotto did well and won four rounds maybe.
He easily got beat on points though. Cotto had his good and effective moments against Mayweather, so it seems like maybe people think he won more rounds or did better than he really did, b/c it's so rare to see Floyd take a few punches and be in an entertaining fight.
But no, the fight wasn't rigged. The scorecards were on point IMO, even if Cotto maybe deserved a 116-112 or something b/c I think he took four rounds. The rounds Cotto won were competitive though, and the rounds Floyd won were very clear cut.
You are entitled to your opinion. But seeing how biased you are against Floyd Mayweather, Jr., it might be a waste of time to exert efforts to explain the merit of that fight and its results. Both Cotto and Floyd Mayweather never had any record of rigging a fight and so is Oscar de la Hoya who even had to suffer most of his worst defeats in fights he himself promoted or co-promoted. What you said here is most unfair to all concerned and their fans.
Cotto indeed did give him a tough fight but Mayweather landed the more accurate shots. Mayweather did win.
it's like cotto is already washed up and floyd still want the fight rigged?
like canelo's already had stamina problems and floyd still want him drained at 152 catchweight?
man you're bad....
no i dont think it was rigged...but yes cotto's already washed up, he could've fought a prime cotto but he didnt, floyd's minions been blaming it to arum...aaaagain...but anyway cotto w/ all his wisdom found a weakness, and that's to push floyd to the ropes... but then again his nuthuggers claims floyd already lost his legs due to age...cuz they believe nobody can cut the ring to checkmate floyds par exellance footwork
I saw the fight and was miserable after seeing maywrather win by a most-probably rigged decision, which being may weather, a decision win is extremely common
Miguel cotto had the upper hand 95% of the fight. And I need info, because in my opinion, I definitely believe it was rigged
