Nope. It was one of Floyd's easiest fights in his pro career. He beat JMM in almost all depatrment. Though he outweighed Marquez at weigh in and at fight time, it was his first fight coming back from almost two years of self-proclaimed retirement. Marquez provided a clear demonstration that he could fight and take punishments at higher weight.

Not close at all Marquez was just too small back then, in my opinion he didn't have time to "Mature" in that weight class. I wouldn't say "Mayweather made Marquez look like a fool." that's not a very accurate statement. It was a good big man beating a good little man.

Have you heard about David vs. Goliath battle? Well the difference is the smaller guy didn't bring a slingshot so he got his azz kicked. But the best part is Marquez after eating like more than a million punches, he managed to end the fight on his feet. Isn't he amazing?lol
Denny, Marquez lost every round to what looked to be a guy(-Mayweather) that outweighed him by over 20 pounds, but we will never know because Floyd wouldn't allow H.B.O. to weigh him in for the unofficial 2nd weigh in and he gave away literally over $100,000 per pound he was over the contracted weight limit and he was over by over 2 pounds drained and 0 pounds less than what he weighed the next day by fight time unlike Marquez who barley gained any weight.
