No the president goes to the one that' s more popular and Vitali runs for mayor of Kiev to make room for the other guy as president. Very noble.

It's either a cop out or a supreme sacrifice on his part from where I sit watching what's happening in Ukraine.

Cop out because as pthe most famous Ukrainian today and one who has elected to involve himself with politics in his native land, he could have do more than what boxer Dick Tiger did in then late 60s for Nigeria, that is to run for the presidency to lend not just his name and his influence but risk his own life in asserting Ukrainian independence and self determination instead of throwing his support to a lady politician.

Supreme sacrifice because he is giving way to and supporting someone who he thinks is more qualified to lead Ukraine though that she may not be known or influential internationally.

At this time, in Ukraine the opposition can and will kill anyone that is a threat to them.

Although the Russians deny they intend to invade they could do so at any moment.

Personally he might be safer to get out while he can, if the Russians do invade he will either be dead or in a prison camp.

I guess the job was too big for Dr Ironfist. It's disappointing, I thought he had the stomach and the desire but turns out he's just another feather in the wind.

Vitali was a pro west candidate. He was for Ukraines integration to NATO.



Russia recently invaded Ukraine and took Crimea and made it a part of Russia.



Putin, president of Russia, said YESTERDAY that Russia won't invade the rest of Ukraine if they refrain from joining NATO so Vitali can't win unless he wants his country invaded.



Ukraine is in turmoil now so being president in that country will probably do more damage to his health than boxing ever will.
