2. Manny Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley 2012 : This is the second one. Pacquiao definitely won this one. But, this wasn't as bad as Lewis-Holyfield I, though very close.
3. Oscar De La Hoya vs Felix Trinidad 1999 : Some might argue this is a close fight and DLH blew it off in the final 3 rounds. But, this is a clear robbery. DLH won 7 rounds CLEARLY. That's why it's a robbery. DLH definitely won Round 2,3,5,6,7,8,9. No doubt about that. Round 10, 11, and 12 Trinidad definitely won. And Round 1 and 4 could go either way. But, DLH did enough, he won 7 rounds clearly. That's already enough for 115. Even if you anyone had Trinidad won the first and fourth round, the score would still be 115-113. And in honesty, I felt DLH also took the fourth round, the fact he outlanded Trinidad. I scored that fight 116-112 DLH. So, a clear robbery.
4. Pernell Whitaker vs Julio Cesar Chavez 1993. Whitaker won 7 rounds CLEARLY in this fight, just like DLH did against Whitaker. I also scored this one 116-112 Whitaker.
5. Joe Louis vs Walcott 1947 : No question about this one.
6. Shannon Briggs vs George Foreman 1997
7. Pernell Whitaker vs Jose Luis Ramirez I 1989
8. Evander Holyfield vs Hasim Rahman 2002 : It was clear that Rahman was cut due to headbutt and Holyfield should have been DQed. Yet, they gave the win to Holyfield, claiming that was unintentional and they went to scorecards.
9. George Foreman vs Alex Schultz 1995
10. Oscar De La Hoya vs Felix Sturm 2004 : This is a close fight, but Sturm got this one. A draw would have been perfect. But, I felt I'm too generous scoring for DLH in this fight. I think Sturm won more rounds than that. But, there's no chance DLH taking a win in this fight. As generous as I am, I can only score this fight a draw, not a DLH win. The fact DLH win proves that this is a robbery to set up DLH vs Hopkins later that year.
Matt you really ask some difficult but fun questions sir! Here is my list:
1. Park Si- Hun over Roy Jones Jr. This is b far the worst robbery in Olympic and boxing history period. Roy was robbed of Olympic Gold.
2. Pernell Whitaker D12 J.C. Chavez. ROBBED is the word for this fght as Chavez despite entering the ring at 87-0 was dominated after the 4th round on and outboxed and outslugged. This wasn't even close.
3. Lennox Lewis D12 Evander Holyfied. Lewis dominated this fight with his long jab that Holyfield failed to neutralize and Lewis officially landed 200 more punches as wel. S how was this a draw?
4. Timothy Bradley SD12 Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao outlanded Desert Storm in 10 of the 12 rounds and landed more than 100 more punches than him too. One of the worst of recent fights.
5. Jose Luis Ramirez SD12 Pernell Whitaker. This was a one sided fight and Whitaker easily won at least 9 of the 12 roundws. What were the judges thinking in this one?
6. Joe Louis SD15 Jersey Joe Walcott. Rare that a fighter apologizes after a decision but Louis tole Walcott after the fight "Sorry Joe" Louis was dropped in the 1st and 4th rounds.
7. Lupe Pintor SD15 Carlos Zarate. Zarate dominated this fight. Though Pintor was aggressive he wasn't effectively aggressive as Zarate countered him all night. Really terrible decision.
8. Nicolai Valuev MD12 Evander Holyfied. Major media outlets gave Holyfied 10 of the 12 rounds. Valuev received a gift from the judges on this one.
9. Sven Ottke UD12 Robin Reid. Can you say hometown decision? Reid was the beter man I this fight by far but what can you do when the judges and the referees are biased and unfair?
10. James Toney SD12 Dave Tiberi. Toney was slow and lethargic in this fight and Tiberi took advantage and frequectly outlanded the Champ and dominating the action but somehow the jusdges didn't see the same fght that the fans did.
