He's no Floyd, that's for sure. Broner really got exposed against Malinaggi IMO, Paulie was able to hit him to the body and land good shots, but Paulie just didn't have the power to hurt Broner and get his respect, Maidana did. That's why i'm always leery about saying any fighter is the next big thing until they step up in class and pass the test. That's the same reason why i'm not jumping on the Deontay Wilder bandwagon just yet, he hasn't fought anyone that could test him. He's fought bums so far. Let's see what happens when he steps up the competition.
My thoughts are maybe he's better suited for light welter. He's not Floyd Mayweather, no where near the skills, speed, height, reflexes or length. He has good natural power, he should go to war more. I mean the difference last night is that el chino was ready to die in the ring, broner was not. Needs to work on graciousness.

I think he moved up in weight a lil too fast esp against someone like Marcos M. He should have sparred with bigger opponents who fight similar to Marcos M. Broner has class, he has a right to enjoy himself just like everyone else. Broner is NOT overrated it's not like he fought a bum. Believe it or not Broner just boost TMT next PPV with his loss to Marcos. People with think the same thing will happen to FLOYD since Broner h8ters call him a FLOYD dick rider.
He is a young fighter who has a lot to give the sport but he must focus on the sport... No tours and other ventures. At 23, he's a 3 time world champion in 3 weight classes. He showed heart in defeat, and now he knows what he must improve. If he tightens his defense, increases his output, and he can be a force at 140.
His showing against powderpuff puncher Paulie Malignaggi should have convinced him that he is not yet ready for the welterweights. I don;t think he is even ready for the junior welterweights despite his prodigious punching sock. He should have undergone further seasoning in the lightweights.

Exposed and humiliated. Its rare for me to really want to see a fighter lose, but I reeeeaaallly wanted him too. He talks way too much, which wouldn't be so bad if he had actually earned the right to, but he hasn't. At all.
