If Rios shows a good chin it could work against him because the more shots a fighter take ,the higher the risk of getting injured ,hence the fight with Margarito. In general ,a one punch KO is better than a taking a beating for 12 rounds ,hence Meldrick Taylor VS Julio Cesar Chavez and Riddick Bowe VS Andrew Golota ,just to name a couple.
I'm gonna look at Rios' head/neck, and wait for the moment it finally gets ripped off and falls on the canvas or flies into the stands.
I don't see what's so dangerous about Rios. Yeah, he's young and hungry, but he was a lightweight not two years ago, has no defense and will literally let Pac hit him at will.
Rios isn't Marquez. He can't counterpunch at all, and Rios really doesn't even hit that hard IMO, at least he won't at 147lb.
This is easy work for Manny, getting KTFO last fight or not. The only reason this fight is semi-interesting is b/c Pacquiao got f*cked up.
People forget that Manny was beating the piss out of a bloody Marquez before getting smacked.
I'm going to just enjoy the fight. Manny beat Bradley and was winning against Marquez until he got caught out. Other than a slight decline in overall punch stats I see little sign of Manny being "finished".
This will be a throwback Pacquiao fight, just like the days he beat guys like Barrera, Morales and to a lesser extent, David Diaz, all fighter who like to come forward and engage. Rios might be young and hungry but he's not much else, he's already been exposed by guys like Abril, Alvarado and even Miguel Acosta. Manny and Freddie should have no problems with Bam2x.
I expect Pac to throw 6 punch combinations then move left and right. This will frustrate Rios and cause him to open up and Pac will throw his jab and straight left hand along with a hard right hook or uppercut. Rios will be dropped in this fight at least once or twice...maybe more. Pacquiao by TKO in 10.
smh pac is not finished man smh everybody is talking about pac being finished just because he took a knockout? its the sport of boxing lol smh and he got knocked out by somebody who's a** he was beating.. all of a sudden he's finished and done just because he caught a bad one ? smh a Pac really knocked hisself out against marquez he would've beat him if he would'nt have made that mistake which he made because he was used to marquez's previous power and wasnt aware of his new power and thought he could afford a mistake. if he fights marquez again and doesnt make that careless mistake he's gonna wope marquez he was wope'n him before he got knockedout. & Brandon rios cant do sh** with Manny man brandon rios is not marquez first of all brandon rios is gon get his a** sent to the hospital lol if pac loses to him then yea pac definitely doesnt have it anymore but i doubt it , he's a warm up
this is a tune up fight for pac if he loses hes done for good
i wanna know if pac is already finished, so i'll watch out for:
1) his performance against rios, what jmm did to him, the head damage may relapse
2) his training camp if it's the same messed up camp last time
3) his focus... everybody know all the distructions
4) rios; this hotshot is young and hungry, he could retire pac permanently
5) roach; man we all know the guy is ill, what else could he offer to pac???
