Sugar ray robinson vs Henry Armstrong?

I'm not gon sleep on Homicide Hank, I say the 1st fight goes the distance possibly being a draw and 2nd and 3rd fights going to SRR being SDand UD

Robinson is great but people tend to overrate him by taking others out of the picture.

You can make an argument that Armstrong was a better p4p boxer than Robinson. The reason few defend that argument is because an old Armstrong was embarrassed by a prime Robinson. You can also make an argument that Harry Greb was a better p4p than Robinson but few do because there is no surviving film of a Greb fight.

Armstrong was undisputed champion between featherweight up to welterweight, that is a record only equaled by Bob Fitszimmons [notice i said undisputed champion, not paper title holder].

Armstrong had the most title defenses as undisputed champion in welterweight history.

Now; if they were to both fight in their prime at welterweight i believe Robinson would win a decision.

''A great big man always beats a great little man''.

SRR looked up to Armstrong when he learned to box. Little by little, Robinson edged him skillwise and overshadowed Hank in terms of greatness.

see the analogy? Prime for prime, my money goes to Robinson -the greatest to ever laced up a pair of gloves that even the great Ali had to concede

Speed goes to Robinson so does power, chin and skill, still Armstrong was one of the best pound for pound ever, but he looses to the best pound for pound ever every time!

Ray Robinson. He isn't the greatest for nothing. His prime was stuff of legend.

At welterweight, Robinson.

i think ray wins 3 out of 3, with 2 of them being close.

it may have been more competitive, but same result

Robinson wasnt even yet in his prime when they fought and he still dominated

both in their primes

power = Ray Robinson

speed = tie

chin = tie

skill = tie

Ray robinson style is similar to ali's

Henry armstrong style is related to joe fraziers, never taking a step back

the only difference from frazier and armstrong was that armstrong was way faster
