I rank Monzon number 2 in the greatest middile weight of all time behind Robinson and Ketchel not far behind but somewhere 5 and above. Easily two among the greatest middle weights of all time

- If we're to take this fight at MW and seems like it is, i had Monzon giving the upperhand. Carlos had been used to fighting at MW all his career. One thing's for sure, this bout is going to last the distance but given that, if ever Ketchel hits Monzon with something solid, he'll fold. I see this fight ending via UD most likely favoring Monzon as he was the more complete fighter between the two and Ketchel with a good shot of knocking out Carlos if he ever lands his best shot
Great fight. Stanley Ketchel 51-4 and Carlos Monzon 59-3. Both are great middleweights. Both are good punchers. Both are tough. Both have great chin. Carlos never been KO. Stanley was KO only once by Jack Johnson, a heavyweight. There are not much to seperate these two men so I search for the top 10 greatest middleweight of all time for my answer. And the result is that Carlos was rank #3 on that list and Stanley rank #6 on that list. So my answer is Carlos Monzon by majority decision over Stanley Ketchel.
I think this one is a little easier to call than the Greb/Hagler fight, Ketchel almost KOed Jack Johnson, and although Monzon was a heavy puncher, Ketchel was a much heavier hitter. I have Ketchel a heavy favorite and Monzon a live underdog in this on based on the power edge Ketchel would have had.
