Bradley beat Devon Alexander, Lamont Peterson and Miguel Vazquez. All 3 of those guys are current champions and ranked top 10 in their respective divisions today. How is that not "beating anyone of note", and if that's the case why did Pacquiao fight him the 1st time.
At the end of the day, whether or not you agree with the judges' decision, it still counts as a loss on Pac's record and Bradley still owns Pac's WBO title. Marquez already said he has zero interest in a 5th Pacquiao fight (and after the raw deals he received in the first 3 fights, who could blame him?). Who else is there for Pacquiao to fight other than Bradley? Rios just lost to Alvarado and most likely they will have a 3rd fight next, and most of the top guys at 140-147 are with Golden Boy.
A rematch with Bradley makes the most sense for Pacquiao right now.
Bradley poses less risk to Pacquiao than Marquez.
Everyone knows he won the first fight against Timmy, but he will probably get knocked out by Marquez again if they fight in September.
Honestly I think Pacquiao should just retire and enjoy time with his family. He has nothing left to prove, and he's obviously on the decline now.
Yes, I think he should fight Bradley again. Marquez has already said that he doesn't want to fight Manny a 5th time so Manny should fight Bradley and get his title back.
Manny had lost his undefeated status before mention of a Mayweather fight, so the entire concept of "having to prove whos best" when one has a "0" on their list is pointless. At this point Marquez dropping Manny made a Mayweather fight with him moot. Manny would have to take a series of fights to prove he could actually compete with Mayweather.
And none of the prospects look good. Trout is too long and lanky for Manny, and Canelo would beg for a "one for one" exchange contest to see who would last longer. With his youth its pretty obvious he would.
I would have to agree, I dont want to see Manny Pac go the route Roy Jones did and slowly slide knockout by knockout until he finally quits.
He needs to bow out and go on with his life.
What wd be the point of fighting Bradley, who never beat anyone of note (Jr Witter? Devon Alexander? Please) and who has been shown more than once of being a chinless wonder.
If Pacquiao wants to "redeem" himself, he should fight Marquez again, although, this time, he should do what he should have been doing since fight #1: circle to his right thruout the fight, AWAY from the Mexican's counter right, which is the only punch of note in his arsenal.
The only fight that I dreamed of at this time against Pac is Mayweather. They're getting old. And so are we waiting for this damn fkng so called mega fight.
I think he would redeem himself beating bradley, even though he already did, but corrupt judges screwed him. I hope Pacquiao is juicing right now in the phillipines and comes back on September and destroys bradley and becomes the Pacquiao of 2009-2011 where he was destroying everyone.
