As most of you know I am a big fan of Areolla . Areolla is a much better fighter than Seth in every category except one and that is discipline at the dinner table. Areolla has been around for a long time now this is his cross road fight he lost his last fight to guy that can't box and was dropped. I am going to wait until after the weigh in to see what type of shape Areolla is in. We know Seth will come in to the fight in shape . Let me say this Seth is learning to fight in his last fight ge beat a good fighter that knocked him out in his last fight that is really a high hurdle to get over for a young fighter and Seth did it. This is a pick'em fight so I will take Areolla as of today but I would have to see what type of shape he is in before I would bet a dim on him.
This one is interesting. Here you have a talented fighter with poor discipline (Areolla) against an average fighter with superior discipline. I'm not sold on Areolla's recent weight loss and I haven't seen him in about a year.
Seth Mitchel is an average fighter at best. He makes almost no use of his best tools and still seems to have a lot to learn. He reminds me of a young George Foreman, not in terms of power but in the fact that Foreman never learned to make use of the tools he obviously had. It wasn't until his decade later come back that he learned to pace himself. He never had the stamina problems that the ALI fight made people believe he had. Mitchel should have improved by now but I don't think he has.
I think a year is much too much time for Areolla to stay on track. I see him going back to his old lazy ways and losing a decision to a man he should be able to beat easily.
This should be a fun fight while it lasts.
Nipples most definitely should win here though. Mitchell's chin is SO bad, it's inevitable he gets hurt in this fight. Unlike Banks, Nipples is a good finisher and will take Mitchell out when it happens.
Definetly by KO Arreola will put constant pressure on Mitchell. Him and Banks worst Heavyweights I've ever seen.
You forgot John Ruiz..............Areola is a tough fighter, granted and should win this one easy IMO, but seems to find a way to take a lot of punishment he needn't take, or show up way out of shape. I still think Areola has enough to win by late round TKO stoppage.
Sept 6 in Cal. Who you got?
