Foreman. I know for a fact that Team Tyson wanted nothing to do with George Foreman. Here's why.
.
True, Foreman was slow. However, because he took good care of his body during his absence, he retained that which are the last things a boxer loses. Foreman retained his strength and endurance.
.
Look at his fights with Alex Stewart and Tommy Morrison. It's clear that Foreman has always taken a punch very well. Now, lets compare him to his younger self.
.
Young Foreman was very powerful. However, he was never known for speed. One thing he was known for is his poor stamina. But, guess what? Tyson has also always had poor stamina.
.
Old Foreman actually appeared to have better stamina. The reason is because the mature version learned to pace himself. It still amazes me that no one ever taught Young Foreman to pace himself and how to get the best use of his power. Had Dick Saddler and Team Foreman ever taught young George to use his power properly, there is No Way Muhammad ALI would have beaten him using the rope-a-dope.
.
Tyson was very powerful and fast. However, it's not likely that he would have hit Foreman cleanly enough times to put him down. When you consider the amount of energy Tyson would have to exert just to hurt Foreman, and consider that he has never retained his power into the middle rounds, Foreman was all wrong for Tyson.
.
Foreman wouldn't bounce Tyson around like he did Frazier. He would use his massive arms to deflect many of Tyson't punches early while landing his own. In the early rounds, Foreman wouldn't do much damage. However, neither would Tyson. He's faster but not many of his punches would get through.
.
Young Tyson was not a very disciplined fighter. True he went the distance with guys like Tillis, Tucker and Rabalta but they were defensive minded fighters with little power.
.
After a few rough moments, Foreman would whether the storm and make it to the middle rounds. Look at the record. Tyson's punch output ALWAYS diminishes by half or less by round 6. He would fail to drop Foreman early and pay a heavy price, in stamina, later.
.
From round 6 on, Foreman would march forward and shove Tyson every time he tries to get his punches in. Foreman would receive a few warnings but not enough to deter him. After the middle rounds, the straight rights would begin to find home.............on Tyson's chin. Mike's tiring body wouldn't be able to stake much more.
.
Foreman by TKO in 10
Foreman v.2 was older and obviously slower, but had style. He had that crab-like stance, he was jabbing a lot and his punches were short and crisp, not the wild swinging shots he unloaded in his youth. He took Holyfield and guys like Morrison to the limit and knocked out Moorer. With Tyson already faded or exposed by the 90's, I think Foreman would've KO'd Mike.
I personally think that Foreman would have lost to a Prime Mike Tyson, I mean, Tyson was so much younger and was the best knockout artist boxing ever saw, I think George wouldn't be able to keep up with his speed in his 40s and Tyson gets a KO. But if Foreman was in his prime woaaa I don't know. I can picture both fighters knocking each other out. But remember. Cus D'mato (Mike Tyson's trainer) Said no swarmer fighter could ever live with big George, and Tyson was a swarmer fighter
Foreman was pretty slow in the comeback(I mean his body of course LOL). I think maybe a bit too slow for Tyson. On the other hand his chin was out of iron. Tyson couldn't knock out Evander Holyfield and I think that Foremans chin was even harder than the one of Holyfield. The key here is that I don't see 90's Tyson knocking Big George out. George's defense was also way ahead of his 70's ego. Plus 90's Tyson was also much slower than his 80's version. Contrary to Foreman, Tyson lost his power in the later rounds. Foremans stamina however was just as bad as 90's Tysons, if not worse. That would be two guys knocking on each other and both tiring out in the later rounds, with Tyson taking the slightly advantage in points. After 10 rounds, Foreman was never able to knock somebody out, with tiring out too badly. Tyson takes the advantage and wins this one by SD in 12th rounds. For those who think that Big George would easily knock Tyson out, let me tell you this: Tyson could go 8 rounds with Lennox Lewis, and that was a badly trained, tired, out-of-prime Tyson. And they say that Lennox hit almost as hard as a prime Foreman(Some say even harder. Never mind about that, Lewis and Foreman fans, let us come to an agreement that they both hit very hard, no matter who hit harder, ok?). When a 2002 Tyson could go 8 rounds against Lewis, a 90's Tyson could for sure go 12 rounds against the old and obese version of Foreman.
Tyson by 12SD
Big George would have destroyed Mike, I doubt Tyson would have got out of the first round. Foreman by KO inside of one. Mike ducked George because he knew Foreman would have KOed him.
Tyson had won, Foreman at that time was too slow to endanger Tyson
The fight would have been similar to the Morrison vs Foreman, but even more in favor of Tyson
Tyson wins by points or KO Late, I see Foreman with a disfigured face and in his fight with Stewart
1st career George Foreman would of destroyed Tyson but I think Foreman would of lost when he was 50.
George foreman
George foreskin vs dike Tyson id would rather watch Anderson silva vs George st pierre but anywas to your question mike Tyson would probably win and why because hes a bad *** and bit somebodys ear offfff!!
The fight never happened but I wish it had. Who do you think would have won- and why?
