considering the movie and the entire scenario is total fiction I would suggest the question is impossible to answer.
I think he said it because it was in the script. normally actors tend to have to stick to the lines, which I agree is a bit of a shame. it would have been funnier if he'd improvised and said " are you still mad that Adrian left you for ivan drago and keyed the f-k out of your car?"
a revenge movie would have been way better than boring old Adrian just deciding to die on him. what a selfish bytch!
Maybe he meant left as in died. She left him behind when she went to heaven or whatever and he might be mad that she left him alone, not at her but at life and the world for letting her die

no. adrian died of cancer from what I know of from the storyline I think he said that in a slang manner.
