I had never been impressed with Hatton from day one, I don't know why, but it's very true. I think if they met during their primes, Khan would KO/TKO Hatton, just like Mayweather did. Then, after that, people would say Hatton had past his prime. I just don't know why everyone is talking a boxer past his prime when he lost a bout. Hatton was still in his prime when he fought Pacquiao and he lost.
Same with Tyson. Douglas beat Tyson in his PRIME. After that, Tyson also lost to Holyfield in his PRIME. Tyson's prime ended in 1997, after that Bite Fight. Same with Hatton. His prime ended that night, after he lost to Pacquiao.
Amir has good defense, and he has OK offense. Ricky has bad defense, but great offense. I would say Hatton by later round KO if he catches Khan on the chin more then once. If Amir keeps good defense he might win on points if he is lucky.
Ricky Hatton's only loss at 140 pounds was to Manny Pacquiao. He was an elite fighter at that weight class at that time.
Amir Khan has been exposed before, and is a good fighter at 140 pounds, but not as good as Hatton was. He has been knocked out by punchers before like Prescott and Garcia, and Hatton isn't the biggest puncher, but he has enough power to hurt Khan.
This fight would somewhat be like Mayweather-Hatton, but more competitive. Khan boxing, but Hatton continuing to come forward. Hatton will hurt Khan in the right round, and will force the ref to stop the fight.
Hatton TKO8.
Ricky Hatton TKO6
Hatton by knockout. Amir Khan relies on his physical advantages too much. He relies on his speed to land his punches. He relies on his quick feet to get him in and out of harms way. He relies on his height and reach. It's not bad to use those things to his advantage but that's all he has. When he can no longer come and go as he pleases, when he can't hit his opponent, he doesn't know what to do except push and run. Ricky Hatton would not let Amir Khan have his way. He would be in front of him at all times pressuring him. Khan can't handle that.
Khan would seem to be winning in a few rounds, but then Hatton throws a lucky counter punch, and then Khan goes down and this time his heart stopped.
I think Khan would beat him down, though Hatton would just play on Khan weaknesses and win the match.
Hatton's to strong for khan he would break him down and the knock him out. Glass jaw khan
I'd say Amir Khan.
I'll be honest, neither of them are good looking at all.
prime hatton by the way before pacman fight.. amir has good defense ok offense ricky has bad defense but great offense I would say hatton by later round ko if he catches khan on the chin more then once if amir keeps good defense he might win on points if he is lucky
