I'd go with De La Hoya because he could take a better shot.
Hi John.
Tommy Hearns was simply too big of a puncher, even though Oscar De La Hoya had a great chin. Jist watch Hearn's knockout of Roberto Duran. I don't know if Oscar wouldn't get dropped by that.
Hearns will box De La Hoya in the early rounds, with Oscar coming forward. In round six Hearns will land his big right hand over and over dropping Oscar. De La Hoya would get up, but he'd be taking too much punishment forcing the ref to stop it.
Hearns TKO6.
I'd go with Tommy anytime. Sure, De la Hoya could take a shot, but not Tommy's shot. Hearns hit like heavyweight (ask Tyson) and he'd destroy Oscar with one punch. I see Tommy knocking out ODLH in 8.
Tommy Hearns would knock oscar out with in 5 rounds
If you really think about it ,De La Hoya has never really defeated any top names during his career and Tommy Hearns is an ATG and would probably beat De La Hoya by setting him up with his long quick jab.
Thomas "Hitman" Hearns by UD.
Tommy Hearns would give Oscar a beating and probably knock him out.
Hearns would flatten DeLa Hoya faster than B-Hop did, and probably do it with a head shot instead of a body shot.
I agree. Tommy could really dish it out but he couldn't take it.
Both at their peak.
I'd go with De La Hoya because he could take a better shot.
